Auto industry suppliers hope for best, fear worst: Suppliers to the auto industry are closely watching the Detroit Three bailout process. If the U.S. auto industry fails, the ripple effect could devastate many suppliers. Auto-parts wholesalers around the country have seen sales decrease in the past year, with a 9.46% average rate of decline in 2008, according to data compiled by Sageworks. The Buffalo News (N.Y.)
