- IEA warns of imminent energy crisis
The International Energy Agency warns that economic recovery could lead to an energy crisis, with an increased demand for fossil fuel from China and other developing countries tightening supplies and raising prices. The agency's World Economic Outlook predicts that oil production can be raised to 105 million barrels a day, though energy demand will rebound sharply after the recession ends and increase about 40% by 2030. - Official: Turkish nuclear deal may still stand despite court ruling
