- Stankey keynote: AT&T will work closer with fewer vendors
AT&T will forge tighter relationships with vendors, but use fewer of them, AT&T Operations President and CEO John T. Stankey said in his SUPERCOMM 2009 keynote speech today. "You can't collaborate with a hundred different players, it's hard to do," he said. - Ericsson experiences Q3 profit drop
Equipment maker Ericsson failed to meet its forecasts in the third quarter as cuts in capital spending by carriers finally caught up with the Swedish company. "I think everybody understands that we are on our way into safer territory, but ... it takes a while before operators start planning projects and start getting projects on board again for us," said Chief Executive Officer Carl-Henric Svanberg, who will leave the company at year-end.
