Verizon's FiOS to carry Rainbow Media's networks, VOD services

Verizon has signed a deal to distribute Rainbow Media Holdings' networks on its FiOS TV service. Poll: Viewers now watching sports because of HD

Viewers with HDTV are watching more sports, whether or not they were fans to start with, according to a new survey for ESPN. The report found 22% of sports fans viewed events because they had HDTV and another 22% who didn't consider themselves sports fans also screened more sporting events on their HD sets, compared with their analog TVs.   CNET (11/16)

Slingbox to let European cell phone users watch cable programs

European wireless provider 3 Group will launch a service Dec. 1 in England that will allow owners of the Slingbox device to watch cable TV shows on their cell phones.
