• Introducing Mediaroom: Microsoft rebrands its IPTV service
  Microsoft announced it was rebranding its Microsoft Internet Protocol Television, dubbing it Microsoft Mediaroom. The service links home TVs and PCs and is currently deployed by 10 Internet providers. Microsoft also said it would release a Mediaroom developers tool kit. Reuters (6/18)

• Zycel introduces ADSL 2+ gateway
  Zycel has announced that its new ADSL 2+ gateway comes equipped with built-in HomePlug AV Powerline and Wi-Fi capabilities. The new system is designed to give service providers the ability to deploy faster. Telephony Online (6/18)

• Vodafone cuts fees for mobile broadband by almost half
  Vodafone has announced that it is dramatically cutting its charges for mobile broadband access for laptops, from about $89 per month to about $50. The company also introduced a 24-hour access session for about $17 and increased the amount of data all users can download. The Independent (London) (6/18)

• DoCoMo eyes investments in Vietnam, China or India
  Japan's NTT DoCoMo is preparing to make a sizable investment in increasing its long-term influence in the rest of Asia, and it is currently looking at the rapidly expanding markets of Vietnam, China and India. • Cincinnati Bell launches first commercial UMA service
  Cincinnati Bell this week launches CB Home Run, which according to the company, is the first U.S. commercial offering of unlicensed mobile access. Consumers will be able to use a Nokia 6086 handset to connect via cellular networks, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. The Cincinnati Enquirer (6/18)
