- Nokia: Why we're finally getting it right
Nokia has figured out how to crack the U.S. market, Executive Vice President Niklas Savander said in an interview, adding that its Ovi Internet services platform has gained traction after the company might have originally introduced it prematurely. Nokia said AT&T would launch Ovi on its network by year-end. Asked why it hasn't happened yet, he said: "You might be able to look at this and say that perhaps the business conditions have not been attractive enough to AT&T. It's hard to dispute that. You can't say it's because the device is not good enough or the service is not good enough." CNET/Signal Strength

- Sibling rivalry could nip at Symbian's heels
Symbian, the world's leading mobile-operating system, could face a competitive threat from an unlikely source -- Nokia's new Linux-based Maemo software developed by the same company responsible for most of the Symbian-powered phones in the market, according to industry analysts.
