- Time Warner Cable sets new strategy in Northeast Ohio division
Time Warner Cable has announced a reorganization in its Northeast Ohio unit that sets up two divisions: a Metro region that includes the Akron and Cleveland greater metropolitan areas and a Suburban region that encompasses the outer belts and stretches into western Pennsylvania. Time Warner Cable has tapped company veterans Scott Miller to handle the Metro division and Rick Whaley to manage the Suburban areas. Multichannel News

- Los Angeles to play host to NCTA's 2010 Cable Show
The NCTA plans to stage the Cable Show in Los Angeles next year, the first time it has been set there since 1996. The event, which will run from May 11 to 13 and be located at the L.A. - Bravo gives fitness instructor Jackie Warner her own show
Jackie Warner, the star of "Work Out," a docudrama that ran on Bravo from 2006 to 2008, is getting her own series on the network. "Thintervention With Jackie Warner" will follow the fitness instructor as she counsels her overweight clients in the gym as well as with therapy sessions and home visits. - Cox expands VOD menu to include latest network shows
Just in time for the new fall season, Cox Communications has made it possible for its digital subscribers to watch hundreds of episodes of the latest offerings from cable and broadcast networks for free via the MyPrimetime category within the company's VOD library. The shows -- from networks such as AMC, USA, TNT and Comedy Central -- appear in the MyPrimetime menu the day after their linear TV debut. Radio Business Report

- CTAM Canada study: Benefits of VOD poorly understood
While 81% of Canadians are aware of video on demand, fewer than half of analog-cable subscribers know that they need digital service to view VOD programming and less than 20% know that VOD is not available from satellite TV providers, according to a report by CTAM Canada. "This research shows that cable-service providers need to focus more effort on educating subscribers about the features and benefits of VOD," said John Piercy, CTAM Canada president. - Study says advanced advertising to generate $4B by 2014
U.S. revenue from advanced advertising -- a broad term that includes many types of highly targeted, interactive marketing messages -- will increase from about $130 million in 2010 to $4 billion in 2014, according to new research from Parks Associates. - IFC helps Porsche introduce its first sedan

- Time Warner Cable to launch Clearwire service in N.C.
Clearwire partner Time Warner Cable will begin offering WiMAX-powered wireless service to Charlotte, Greensboro and Raleigh, N.C., on Dec. 1, and it plans to expand to Dallas and parts of Hawaii in the near term as well, the cable company said.
