- Panelists share ideas on how to cope with spread of flu
With the number of swine flu cases increasing, panelists at a Greater Washington Board of Trade forum talked about how to cope when employees get sick. The organization's chief executive said there is not a "one-size-fits-all for businesses, especially in the greater Washington region," but business managers were encouraged to plan ahead to keep groceries and pharmacies open while making sure sick workers stay home. - Tysons Corner lures SAIC headquarters from San Diego
Defense contractor Science Applications International last week announced plans to shift its headquarters from San Diego to Tysons Corner. Virginia has pledged $7 million in incentives to get SAIC to relocate and promised $1.5 million to Fairfax County for road and infrastructure improvements. The Washington Post

- World leaders agree to crack down on banking risks
The third meeting of G-20 leaders in the last year ended Friday in Pittsburgh with the issuance of a statement calling for a crackdown on risk-taking in the financial sector and a promise to coordinate economic policies. The world leaders, including President Barack Obama, agreed to write a plan that forces banks to tie executive compensation to long-term performance and increase how much capital they keep on hand. Associate Justice Kennedy was appointed to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit in 1975. In 1988, he was nominated to the Supreme Court by President Ronald Reagan and has served on the Court for 21 years.
