Icahn ends fight to control Time Warner board
Dissident shareholder Carl Icahn appears to have ended his attempt to force the breakup of Time Warner by taking control of its board. Icahn's apparent retreat -- he will run five candidates instead of 14 -- comes after a public campaign in which Icahn accused Time Warner CEO Richard Parsons of mismanaging the company. Report: Router sales jump, switch sales fall
Global sales of routers and switches increased 37% between 2002 and 2005, while multi-service switch sales fell by 5%, according to a report by Infonetics. Skype announces roaming deal with 3 Group
Skype Technologies has inked a deal with Hutchison Whampoa's 3 Group to offer the VoIP service via UMTS networks in Austria, Australia, Hong Kong, Sweden, the U.K., Italy and elsewhere.
