  • Report: Chernin advising Comcast on NBCU overture
    Comcast has hired Peter A. Chernin, the former president of Rupert Murdoch's News Corp., as a consultant in its bid to acquire majority control over NBC Universal, according to unnamed sources cited in this report. Chernin apparently is helping Comcast "understand what the prospects are for these content businesses," the source said, adding that the executive is not likely to take a position with Comcast even if the NBCU deal goes through.
